Redefining Industrial Design
ICSID - the International Council Of Societies Of Industrial Design is redefining their definition of industrial design, which hasn't changed since 1969, though the environment in which we practice has.
BIDA has already spent a lot of time and effort redefining the meaning and context of ID. Our objective was to ensure that service, interaction and product design are integrated in an inclusive manner. The National Occupational Standards that members contributed to reflect the changes in our industry, including the future roles for industrial designers in society.
